hot take: xigbar isn’t a dumbass. he’s a skilled ex-guardsman described in the ultimania as being an intimidating veteran, sharp and clever, and extremely condescending to the people he thinks are underneath him. aside from his one (1) slip up concerning terra in bbs, he’s never been shown to be anything but competent and very good at his job. he’s ALSO very chilled out and laid back and likes to project an air of ease and breeze, especially compared to his more stiff compatriots. these two sides of him are not incompatible.
