• Saix is actually a good person and is just used to using harsh methods on people like Demyx and Axel because as Isa he used that same ruthlessness on Lea to save him from his good intentions
• Saix would deny it, but he actually enjoyed being the Organization’s unofficial babysitter. It gave him structure, and since he couldn’t really babysit Lea anymore Demyx basically filled that role in for him.
• Demyx wanted to meet Sora after seeing how Roxas refers to Axel and Xion as his best friends and already made plans to go to the beach on their next day off. If Sora’s Nobody was this friendly and kind, maybe he was someone that he could get along with too. Which brings me to
• Demyx eventually got his own heart too, through his connections with Roxas. While he wasn’t as close to him as Axel was, they had enough of a friendship to form a bond. Like his hesitation to Saix’s orders in erasing Sora/Roxas because, hey! he was one of them! I’d love to go through all of the manga and kh2 cutscenes but i’m too lazy to do that rn. I mostly only say this because of his death scene in the KH2 manga though cause he actually cries

• Demyx’s life as a Somebody was actually a Hero. I personally like to think he actually came from Olympus Coliseum rather than Atlantica. In a lot of his missions in 358/2 Days and in KH2, he’s found in Olympus Coliseum. And in KH2, when you’re in the underworld as Hades liked to put it “Heroes are zeroes” and well… Demyx need the Olympus Stone to actually fight in the underworld. Demyx also knew where to go to get the Olympus Stone and actually mcfreaking stole the Olympus Stone from the Gods and Goddesses of Olympus. Dude knew what he was doing.
• Which brings me to the Demyx is not as stupid as he wants everyone to think. He just thinks, as one of my incorrect quotes posts says, “Nobody will take advantage of you if you’re useless”
• Luxord as a Somebody was a master with women. He knew how to play emotional cards even as a somebody, to pull the heartstrings of people only saying this cause he mcfreaking wooed the Queen of Hearts
• For shits and giggles I like to imagine Luxord’s somebody also a horrible gambler. While he had good poker face and could lie to save his life, luck was never in his cards.
