Demyx/Reader: “Your hands are so much larger than mine.”

You reached out to grab the knitting needles before Demyx dropped the stitch he had hanging between them.

“Now hang on,” you breathed, “I don’t want you to drop that.”

He relaxed his hands, bringing the needles together, slackening the yarn.

“What am I supposed to do?” He asked, “because this clearly isn’t working.”

You rested your hands on his reassuringly, laughing to yourself at the difference in size between your hands and his. “Wow. Your hands are so much larger than mine,” you giggled. “Okay, so the thing here is that you want to drape the yarn over the crossed needles, then hook it on the one in your left hand…”

Now you know everything about Kingdom Hearts. Have a nice day.

Squall/Reader: “Shhh, they’ll hear us.”

You read another poem out loud, then howled with laughter. It wasn’t that poetry couldn’t be romantic, it was just that this collection of “the best love poems ever written” was so contrived and pretentious that you couldn’t hold in your laughter.

With a hand over his mouth to stifle his own spurts of laughter, Squall shushed you. “Shhh, they’ll hear us. I would hate to get in trouble for staying up late and for being here.”

You cleared your throat, settling down quickly as you imagined the consequences. “Okay. You read one, then.”

He gently pushed aside the book you’d been reading from as you offered it, instead pulling out another from somewhere you hadn’t seen, and he opened it as though he had a specific poem in mind, scanning the page until he found it.

He didn’t read it. He had apparently memorized it, and looked into your eyes the whole time he recited it, a soft smile spreading over his lips as yours hung open, in flattery and shock.

But that didn’t last long, and soon you were leaning forward, wrapping your arms around his neck and pressing your mouth to his. As he moved more fully against you, he let out a soft moan, which had you breaking from him to whisper, “Shhh, they’ll hear us.”

Axel/Reader: “If you love it so much, then why don’t you marry it?”

You tossed the ball across the tiny patch of grass again, the tiny Labrador launching itself after it, flying headlong.

When it and the ball returned to your feet, you beamed down at it, scooping the dog up to kiss its nose, then throwing the ball again, further this time.

“Why don’t I get nose kisses?” Axel asked from behind you.

“You never fetch,” you replied, “I have to get everything myself. The dog, on the other hand…”

“You really love that dog, don’t you?”

“Well, of course,” came your reply, as the tiny thing smacked into your shins, getting another kiss and the ball thrown again.

“If you love it so much, then why don’t you marry it?” He teased, sticking out his tongue.

You mocked offense. “What, are you off the market now? Displaced by a dog?”

Zack/Reader: “Will you just hold still?”

Zack sighed. “Will you just hold still?” You dropped your hands to your sides. “You can keep holding the zipper down,” he clarified, “I just nearly had it and then your hands got in my way up here.”

“I told you to let me take this off by myself,” you told him. “We would be in our pajamas already.”

He shrugged, his voice softening. “I just wanted to help.”

You smoothed the fabric down as you ran your hands over your hips. He was. You couldn’t fault him for that. You pulled the fabric around the zipper taut as best you could, and waited as Zack went to grab some soap to slick up the zipper tracks.

And hallelujah, this time, the zipper came undone, down your back (Zack’s fingers trailing behind it) and the garment dropped from you.

You scooped up your pajamas. “I trust you’ll have no trouble getting these off me later?”

Sidon/Reader: “Isn’t this a gorgeous view?”

You’d been in the throne room before, obviously. Where else were you supposed to go if you were looking for Sidon specifically?

But you’d never actually gotten near enough to the throne to see any of its details, nor had you been on it… until today.

You teetered for a moment on Sidon’s lap, trying to get comfortable, and then lifted your gaze to survey the whole of the Domain, and Lanayru past that, spread before you.

“Isn’t this a gorgeous view, beloved?” He asked, whispering right into your ear. “Consider, someday you will see it every day.”
